Low Levels of Testosterone within Men
It's a common problem, which is typically associated with age. It's a very complex situation, and it needs to be look into it, because it really affects the quality of life of the patients. Between the ages of 30 and 40 men start to lose testosterone by 1% each year. It could happen at any age. Obviously, the older the patient is the lower that could be.
But a decrease in testosterone can be caused by many other reasons, things like uncontrolled diabetes, hypertension, obesity, even steroids can cause low testosterone. If men are experiencing symptoms, the doctor may recommend medication. Patients with low testosterone may experience a variety of symptoms. The most common is decreasing energy, increasing stamina, decreasing sexual drive, decrease in muscle mass, mood swings, probably, bones pain. Patients can minimize their symptoms by losing weight, strength training, limiting sugar intake and reducing stress.
The problem is that you don't need to look at a number only, look at the symptoms. A lot of patient comments with a blood test say that ignite the suffering, and we need to do something about it, but they have no symptoms. So, they need to adjust their lifestyle. If left untreated, doctors say, the symptoms can get worse, making it important to talk to your doctor about any changes or concerns.
